More Butterfly Guard Sweeps! Today in our BJJ Team Training Program we covered more sweeps from the Butterfly Guard and went into detail on how to create momentum from the position as well as how to adjust your angle in order to switch between sweeps. We also covered a sweep directly into a submission. Working a butterfly guard sweep variation directly into the straight knee bar.  After the technique portion of class we went directly into team drills, helping each other really the position. This is a great drill because each of your training partners will attempt to pass your butterfly guard in a different way. By working with all of our training partners in a specific position we can see where we need to make adjustments and refine our technique. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is always evolving and as we continue to train with smarter opponents our technique will continue to evolve. One of the main reason Crossroads Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu offers classes for both advanced and beginners students is that as our students evolve consistent training against smarter and more technical training partners is required for each student to reach their full potential.
