Dustin started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2002 at the University of Connecticut where he Co-Founded the the Uconn Brazilian Jiu-JItsu club and official affiliate of the Royce Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu network.
In 2007 Dustin moved back to New London, CT and began training under Carlos Machado Black Belt Tim Burrill and received his Black belt from Tim in April of 2012. Dustin has been actively training and teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo for the last 15 years and takes an active roll in the progression of every student at Crossroads Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaching both the Beginners BJJ and Advance Team Training Jiu-Jitsu classes.
