Last we worked on three powerful techniques from the Guard, the Kimora, the guillotine, and the bump sweep. These techniques work together to form a chain of techniques where the defense for one creates the opening for another. It is this mindset, the idea that we are trying to flow into the most efficient technique available that makes Brazilian Jiu-jitsu so powerful and effective.
In last nights BJJ class we focused on capitalizing on the mistakes your training partner is making that allows you to attack each technique. It is important in your training to realize that there are positions with in each position, and each of these micro positions allow you different options. If we do nit pay attention to these small variations in positions while we are grappling our techniques will feel clunky and forced. When a Jiu-Jitsu technique is done correctly and at the right time it feels effortless.
