BJJ CT: Tap Cancer Out
After a long day at the Tap Cancer Out Tournament in East Haven, CT Crossroads BJJ brought home 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 4 Bronze Medals! But what was even more impressive was the number of first time BJJ Competitors that stepped up and tested their skills on the mat. Competing for the first time can be a very nerve racking experience, but it is also one of the best ways to test what you have learned and see if your jiu-jitsu and self defense skills stand up under pressure and regardless of wether you win your you lose you always learn.
It has been said that a tournament is equivalent to 30 regular classes, and after talking with everybody after their matches everybody left the day with a something they need to work on to improve their game. Whats even more impressive is the amount of money Crossroads BJJ students were able to raise to support an amazing cause. Thank you to everybody who stepped up to compete and to all of the other students who came out to coach, take pictures and offer their support. Crossroads BJJ has grown into an amazing community of people and am I extremely proud to have a small part in it.
