Thows and pressure passes we’re the focus of this Jiu-Jitsu class! From the feet we continued working our foot sweeps doing s number of drills to improve our coordination and timing! A well timed foot sweep allows us to throw our training partner with minimal risk on our part and also work well to set up a number of larger throws.
On the ground it was all pressure passing, improving our position while imposing complete control over the other Jiu-Jitsu players body. The over under pass in Jiu-Jitsu allows us to pin our Jiu-Jitsu training partners hips to the ground which prevents them from moving as we circle around there legs to improve our position. In this class we drilled a variation where we work to point our Jiu-Jitsu training partners knee away from us so they can not defend with it. If you understand how the body moves you can use that knowledge take away movement and this is the main concept of control.
