The difference between the Fundamentals and Team Training program at Crossroads BJJ other then the types of techniques we cover is how long we spend covering one particular topic. When a student first joins Crossroads Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu the goal is to help them understand the basics in each position and help you feel comfortable and competent during sparring with other Crossroads students. However, for those students looking to test their Jiu-Jitsu the Crossroads BJJ Team Training program helps our more advanced students push their game to a higher level.
The crossroads Bjj Team Training program allows our more advanced Jiu-Jitsu students to spend more time in each position, spending multiple classes drilling one position or technique and the techniques easily linked to the particular position we are studying allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of whatever we are covering in class. Beyond learning which moves easily connect to others is only half of what it takes to be able to use your Jiu-Jitsu under pressure, you must have repeated the moves so many times that you can perform them without thinking. This ability to react without thinking comes from performing countless reputations of each technique. When a technique is drilled enough times it will be engrained in your muscle memory and you will be able to perform said technique without having to think of each individual components that make up each technique. These repetitions can seem boring but in the end they will make the difference between winning and losing.
