In order to be the best, you have to train with the best, which is why this past Saturday Crossroads BJJ brought 3x No-Gi world champion and 2019 ADCC North America Trials Champion Josh Hinger to Connecticut to teach a 3 hour seminar at Crossroads Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Waterford, CT.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art that is always evolving, so in order to help our students learn the sharpest technique and maximize their time on the mat Crossroads has brought in several world champion competitors such as Braulio Estima, Rodrigo Gracie and several others to share the knowledge they have gained facing today’s toughest competitors. If it works at the highest level, you know it will work anywhere.
Josh’s ability to break down technique and include eye opening details was simply amazing. Josh essentially taught 2 mini-seminars. A monoplata series, where Josh explained how to move from side control into the monoplata. Then once in the position Josh discussed how to move between Kimora’s, Arm Locks and chokes. The second portion of the seminar covered arm in and arm out guillotine, branching out to include transitions into mounted guillotine and north south chokes. At the very end of the seminar Josh beautifully discussed how to transition from the monoplata position into the guillotine series.
If you missed the seminar but are interested in learning these amazing bjj techniques stop by Crossroads BJJ and see what learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is all about!
